Poker Players / Sports Fans:
Paul Byrd, ex-Major Leaguer and all around Great guy, will be hosting a Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament at his home to benefit the 15U Georgia Roadrunner Blue Baseball team. Please see the below information for more details. Participation is limited and it should be a great evening of poker and fun.
Details; the Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at Paul Byrd's home. We have hired a professional gaming service; "Any Two Cards (ATC)" to manage and oversee the Tournament. ATC will provide all the poker tables and all the materials necessary to operate a professional poker tournament for 90 players. Additionally, ATC will provide a dealer for each of the Nine tables and a Tournament Director will be on hand for the duration of the event. World Series of Poker rules will be observed.

Seven (7) Georgia Roadrunner Players selected for 2012 National Team Trails.

The USA Baseball National Team Identification Series (NTIS) selection committee is pleased to announce this year’s Rosters. The NTIS staff held multiple evaluation events throughout the region’s six states (AL, GA, MS, NC, SC and TN) and has assembled teams at the 13U, 15U and 17U age groups. Seven players from the Georgia Roadrunners have been chosen to compete for positions on the 15U USA National Team. Those selected include:

Seth Beer from Suwanee, GA is a Right Fielder / First Baseman and Right Handed Pitcher.

Connor Burns from Cumming, GA is a Left Fielder / First Baseman and Left Handed Pitcher.

Grayson Byrd from Alpharetta, GA is a Middle Infielder, who is also a Right Handed Pitcher.

Chris Cullen from Cumming, GA is a Catcher, Outfielder, Infielder and a Right Handed Pitcher.

Jason Heinrich from Spring Hill, FL is a First Baseman, who is also a Right Handed Pitcher.

Tarez Miller from McDonough, GA is a Middle Infielder, who is also a Right Handed Pitcher.

Alec Wilson from Cumming, GA is a Centerfielder, who is also a Left Handed Pitcher.
These Seven, along with other players from the Region have been selected to represent the Mid-Atlantic and North Florida regions at the National Training Complex in September.
